Saving video file to computer?

Okay, bear with me, this has been a long ordeal.

First, I recorded a video on a digital camera.
Then, I recorded the video from the digital camera onto cassette using the “dubbing” feature on my DVD/VCR
Next, I recorded the video from the cassette to a blank “Office Depot DVD-RW 4x 4.7GB” disk.
I was hoping to then save that video onto my computer however…
When I go to “My computer” then “disk drive” it never acknowledges that there is anything on the disk at all.
I do know that the video itself is on that disk bc it will play when I put it in a dvd player, for some reason, my computer just acts as though it’s a blank cd when I put it in.

Help please?

Would like to add 2 gigs of ram to computer.?

Is there a certain type of memery ram I need to buy? My computer is HP Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 2.4 GHZ 2.39 ghz model m9040n, right now has 2 GB- would like 4. How much can I expect to pay? and would I be better off purchasing through ebay or buying from a place like best buy, office depot? Any help would be appreciated.

What will a computer repairmen see when i take them my tower? Privacy? IP address?

so there is junk that my computer came with that i don’t need – so i’m planning to take my computer tower to office depot or somewhere so the people canget that junk off and update me to windows 7 and fix any problems with it. My only issue is privacy. will they be able to see my personal files? will they be able to track my internet surfing? (even if the history was deleted) will they be able tell if i have downloaded or uploaded anything? will they be able to use my IP address to track any of this? what exactly is the IP address? my tower won’t be pluged to the internet when i take it (unless they plug it up to internet there) and i won’t bring my monitor – they would plug it up to one when i take the tower to them.

Best place to buy a High Back, Leather computer chair?

I was at office depot sitting in some chairs and Im so weary of picking one up online. Any know where I can get a good sturdy comfrtable leather chair?

I sit in some and they seem either like they have too much padding or maybe kinda flimsy and wobbly. Any ideas? Looking to spend around $150

What Computer Should i Buy? (One With Big Memory)?

hi, i like to download and install many programs and software onto my computer system, my last computer didnt handle it too well and froze and lagged. im looking for a computer either XP or Vista that has alot of memory that would be sold at office depot or office max. also, for those who have windows vista, is it any good? any problems with it? also, whats the difference between windows Xp, Windows XP Professional, and windows Home Edition?

I have a problem with my computer shutting down after putting blank disc in DVD burner drive…?

DVD Burner is a Lite-On 16X speed burner, I use DVD Shrink with Nero to back up discs, whenever I place in a disc (Office Depot DVD+R) it shuts down and then restarts my computer. I’m also having problems burning the discs when I can get the drive to burn, it freezes up during the writing process. Anyone know any possible fixes or any sites I can check to see what might be the problem, Thanks .

to answer some of your questions…

I use Windows XP

Dvd Burner worked just fine before, but I just recently started using the Office Depot brand discs and I also just recently renewed my Norton Antivirus. I’ve only been having this problem since then, but not sure if it’s the Norton or the office depot discs that is causing it.

And with my burner I can use both DVD+R and DVD-R.

I’ve only had one problem so far about reading a disc that I’ve done on the computer, I actually got it to burn, but it wouldn’t read the disc, but when I put it in my DVD player it worked just fine.

And I can play commercial DVD’s just fine, no problem there, so far, knock on wood!!

I really hope you can help me with this problem, I really would appreciate it.

I could use some tubing too but know I can buy some at home depot but I like that UV reactant tubing so much better…ANY CUSTOM PC STORE in the greater San Antonio, TX area would be great I sprung a leak and need supplies NOW!!! Please don’t say bestbuy…etc I ATLEAST NEED COOLANT.

Solution for computer fans sucking back in warm air they just blew out.?

I have a corner desk which the computer is located under the screen right in the corner on a shelf. The whole area under the desk seems to get warm after use and the computer is just recycling the warm air it blew out. Do they make like an air duct specifically designed for computers so I can place the air intake away from the computer? Is this something I’d have to make on my own from parts at like home depot? Has anyone else ever ran into this problem?

I need some legal advice. We are a small computer company and we would like to know if it is okay to give our customers a folder comparing our prices with competitors like best buy, Office Depot. We are planning to give them a copy of their Tech Support Prices. Is that legal or can they come back on us for given their advertisments with their prices. We are not planning on making a one document comparision sheet, but we want to give our customers their actual prices from their flyers.

Looking to buy a new computer chair.?

Hello,

I’ve had this 60$ Walmart black leather chair for 3 years now, the leather is all torn at the bottom and it is almost like sitting directly on wood so I end up puting a pillow or two there and that makes the chair a pain to sit in..

So I’m thinking of getting a new chair, I went to office depot today and tried out alot, I really like the Harrington one.
