I’m installing 600 feet of the snap down, glueless kind this weekend.
Any tips? I’m using the Home Depot in-house brand TrafficMaster

What is the plastic/paper like wood that you put glue and you put it on the wood so it look like wood or look better. I can’t figure out the name for it. Is it paper laminate or plastic? Home depot say they don’t have it, but i guess they didn’t understand me.
So my question is what are those thing that you laminate on your table or some sort of table so it look like wood or any other color.
What kind of store is a countertop store or cabinet store?
I have the basic idea, but I don’t want to leave out any materials on my list that I may need, to avoid that last minute back to the 20 mile away home depot.. Lol, feel me?
So, What materials will I need for the ENTIRE project? -installing the 1/4 round, too.
Please help me finish my list?
Through/full answer gets 10 points and five stars!
I’ve been to Home Depot and Lowes already, and by some freakish coincidence they don’t have it. I’m looking for a fairly inexpensive light-colored wood laminate flooring. I want to install it myself, though. Are there any stores that carry that besides the ones mentioned?
My husband and I are closing on our new house Wednesday. The kitchen still has the old laminate flooring from the 50’s, and I want to give it a TEMPORARY, inexpensive, face lift. If I went to Menards or Home Depot and purchased their self-sticking tiles, would I be able to lay those over the current laminate?
Home Depot and places like that are very expensive and I was wondering if there are any wholesalers or nationwide stores that sell a discount flooring. I pretty much want the cheapest I can find. I live in Pa, by Pittsburgh if anybody is in this area and knows of anyplace I can possibly check into. I have also checked Sams Club, Costco, Lowes. Thanks!
I want to buy laminate flooring but I also want it to be cheap. I have tried Ikea and home depot but I want to compare some more.
My painter left paint spray/splatter all over my laminate flooring. I don’t know if the paint he used was latex or oil based. What can I buy at my local Lowes or Home Depot that will remove the fine paint spray and splatter?
Thanks Stephanie H.
Believe me I have tried to get the painter to clean up his work. He promised to do it, but has failed to even return my calls. I appreciate the good advice.
I’m tired of buying those little self adhesive tags from home depot that attach to the underside of chairs. they last for a little while then come off. Does anyone have a more perm solution for what to put under chairs that will keep them from scratching my floors but allow them to slide easily?
We have laminate wood floors and if we don’t keep felt pads on the dining chairs, they scratch the floor. The problem is the felt pads only last about a month, if even that. I have looked at Lowes & Home Depot but can’t find anything that would really do the job and last. I finally put little booties on all the legs using an old bath towel scraps but it looks really funny. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to solve it. Oh yeah, a rug isn’t the answer either.
and I can’t get the planks to lock correctly. Every time I get one side, the other pops off. Any suggestions or feedback?
Ok, when to Home Depot and found the Dupont Real Touch flooring that I liked (special order Henna Hickory) for $3.97/sqft. Well, as I was walking out I found the display for the “instock” flooring. They had the Dupont Real Touch “Sand Hickory” for $3.27/sqft. Both are 12mm, are the Elite series, and have the underlayment glued on the back. I grabed one of the samples, and compared the two and I couldnt see any difference. ARE THEY THE SAME???
$0.70 savings per sqft if I can answer this question…help…
Emailed Dupont. Only difference is a slight color difference. Stock here I come

My husband already opened it and cut one of the 8 pieces before he realized that it was the wrong one. Do you think they will take it back and give us at least part of a refund? We’ve bought some that were opened and missing pieces before and they discount it, so I figured maybe they might refund at least half of what we paid.
